About Field Muster & Waging Work

Field Muster is the digital embodiment of a field operations philosophy refined over four decades — built so companies can run proactive command instead of reactive chaos.

The company

Waging Work

Waging Work is the company behind Field Muster. Our focus is simple: give construction and field-driven enterprises a true operational command system — one that moves people and machines with clarity, detects production drift early, and forces recovery with accountability.

We built this site so two audiences can evaluate the product with confidence:

  • Operating companies that want to buy and run Field Muster now
  • Strategic partners and acquirers evaluating a category-defining operations platform
Origin

From field discipline to digital command

Field Muster did not start in a pitch deck. It started on jobs — as manpower control, production tracking, and recovery planning that had to work under real schedule and cost pressure.

1980s — Discipline formed

Early manpower and production methods on golf and resort construction projects.

1990s — International refinement

Scheduling, resource control, and recovery planning stress-tested on work in Mexico and Bolivia.

2000s — Financial validation

Borgata project proves documentation and production control value — including $180k recovery approved by Tishman Construction.

2010s — System expands

Job Site Walk, recon-style workflows, move lists, and personnel development practices mature in the field.

2015 — Waging Work

Completed writing, and secured permission from Oxford University Press to produce the book Waging Work — the strategies and tactics of Sun Tzu’s Art of War applied to the strategies and tactics of construction.

2020s — Full digitization

Cockpit, dispatch states, PACE engine, HIT LIST, and utilities unify into Field Muster — the operational command platform.

Founder methodology

Built by operators, for operators

Field Muster is rooted in the leadership and production-control work of David Hadrych and the PACE methodology used by field leaders across decades and companies. The software productizes that doctrine so it does not walk out the door when a superintendent changes employers. Chapter V of his field manual is posted here.

What we believe

  • No threat goes unanswered
  • Dispatch with The perfect economy of Force
  • Stay clear-eyed through The dust of production
  • If you don’t know The order of Production, you lose
  • Nip it in the bud
